The growing city of Escanaba is nestled among the rolling hills, lakes, and pines of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. As the seat of Delta County, Escanaba not only provides a clean, casual and beautiful setting in which to raise a family, but the area's economy is enjoying an upward trend. Overall, Delta County is home to over 1,500 businesses with an average monthly employment of 18,000. The area's largest employers is Mead Paper, which employs over 1,400. The city of Escanaba is located along US 41 and Highway 35. The waters of Little Bay de Noc and Lake Michigan insure some of the most beautiful views to be found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In addition, the Hiawatha National Forest encompasses the eastern half of Delta County and extends north to the Lake Superior shoreline.
