The Charter Township of Comstock is a community of thirty-five (35) square miles in northeastern Kalamazoo County, which is located in the southwestern region of Michigan. Comstock Township, east of the City of Kalamazoo, is served by highways I-94 and M-96, both bisecting the Township from east to west and running virtually parallel to each other separated by a distance of slightly more than one mile.

The mission of the Comstock Community Auditorium is to serve as a community resource by providing space for Comstock Public Schools and the community at-large to hold meetings and events, both entertainment and business in nature. Its mission also is to serve as an educational resource by providing classes in Theater Technology as well as educational opportunities in other areas of theatre and the arts.
Comstock Community Auditorium hosts events in the auditorium or Colt Center on about 260 days per year. On average over the last seven years, the Comstock Public Schools has accounted for 53 percent of the total events held in the building. The rest have been rentals or other uses by the community in general.
